CFA Institute's Client Billing division is looking for a skilled Senior Associate to enhance our team of revenue specialists. Our division focuses on three primary functions: Billing, Reporting, and Cash Applications, managing the calculation, invoicing, and collection of revenue across various accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Calculate and generate specialized investment management fee invoices based on legal agreements of varying complexity, ensuring accuracy against established performance indicators.
  • Provide precise monthly revenue calculations to accounting partners for ledger entries, delivering comprehensive variance analyses on monthly accruals.
  • Offer second-level review on investment management fee accruals and invoices.
  • Analyze internal management reports for accuracy, conducting thorough assessments on discrepancies.
  • Support clients by addressing and resolving inquiries with urgency and precision.
  • Mitigate financial risks and clarify billing uncertainties through detailed reviews and discussions.
  • Mentor team members on all aspects of the revenue process.
  • Act as a point of escalation for Billing Analysts to resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of operational processes to ensure high-quality and efficient work.
  • Resolve issues effectively and efficiently with minimal oversight.
  • Continuously enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the billing process through automation and workflow improvements.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues in various departments to address billing issues swiftly.
  • Independently manage and prioritize tasks, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Identify and address potential risks proactively.
Position Requirements
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or operations.
  • Strong accounting fundamentals with a basic understanding of financial investment principles. Experience in fee calculations or quantitative analysis is preferred.
  • Intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills, with the ability to problem-solve and conduct independent research.
  • A sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, engaging professionally with all levels of the organization.
  • A strong sense of accountability, integrity, and a commitment to sharing best practices with colleagues.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Audit and/or Investment Management.

CFA Institute offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes a base salary and performance-based bonuses. The base salary is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, and market factors.
