Senior Associate, Client Billing

PIMCO, a global leader in active fixed income, seeks a highly motivated and intellectually curious professional to join its team of revenue experts as a Senior Associate in the Client Billing department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and produce specialized fixed and incentive investment management fee invoices according to the terms of legal agreements of medium to high complexity.
  • Provide accurate monthly revenue calculations to accounting partners for booking into the company's general ledger under tight deadlines.
  • Collect and analyze internal management reports for accuracy and completeness, performing independent and comprehensive analysis on delta reports.
  • Support clients by responding to and resolving inquiries with precision.
  • Minimize financial risks and clarify incentive billing uncertainties by reviewing fee drafts, creating and performing hypothetical calculations, and leading comprehensive discussions.
  • Train and mentor team members on all facets of the incentive revenue process.
  • Serve as an escalation point to Billing Analysts to resolve discrepancies swiftly.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge base of operational processes and procedures, applying them independently and consistently to ensure high quality and efficiency in the work.
  • Continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of the incentive fee billing process through automation and workflow redesign, leveraging technology for scalable solutions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance, or accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, accounting, and/or operations.
  • Strong accounting fundamentals with basic knowledge of financial investment principles and strategies.
  • Possess intellectual curiosity and strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to effectively and autonomously problem-solve and resourcefully research.
  • Strong sense of accountability, integrity, ownership, mentoring, and sharing best practices with team members.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Audit and/or investment management background.
