Job Summary/Description

WNEM-TV is seeking a Media Executive with a digital-first approach and a proven ability to present, negotiate, close deals, and build long-term relationships.

This high-energy creative individual must have a winning attitude to work in a competitive, collaborative, and fast-paced marketing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work energetically and strategically to increase our market share for various digital products, including OTT/Streaming, targeted email, targeted display & video, paid social media, YouTube, SEM/SEO, and more.
  • Understand and communicate the value that digital solutions can bring to advertising campaigns. Collaborate with clients on strategic planning to achieve their advertising objectives.
  • Implement strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals.
  • Establish credible relationships with the local business community.
  • Make sales calls to existing and prospective clients.
  • Maintain assigned accounts and develop new accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to clients.
  • Provide clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media platforms.
  • Provide management with timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual budget forecasts.
  • Maintain an understanding of local market ratings, competitive media, station strengths, industry, and product knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred, or equivalent work-related experience. Minimum two years of experience in sales, preferably in the media field.
  • Must be able to work under daily deadline pressure with attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience achieving long-range objectives and implementing the strategies and actions to achieve them.
  • Knowledge of Wide Orbit and ComScore a plus.
  • Solid computer skills using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
