Position Overview


HilgartWilson is seeking a skilled Lead Landscape Architect and Project Coordinator to enhance our dynamic team.

Our group of licensed landscape architects and LEED-accredited professionals adopts a comprehensive approach to every project.

We excel in creating designs that harmonize with public project requirements, leveraging our expertise in landscape design, preparation of bidding documents, and overseeing construction processes.

Our collaborative efforts with architects, planners, and other stakeholders focus on selecting amenities, plant species, and hardscape elements that achieve a seamless aesthetic integration with the natural surroundings. We prioritize inclusive designs that allow universal access to the spaces we develop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Landscape Architecture team on all phases of planning and designing landscape and civil/site development projects, including drafting specifications, developing detailed construction documents, and estimating costs.
  • Support business development initiatives and lead project teams in creating proposals and presentation materials for Landscape Architecture projects.
  • Investigate zoning laws, precedents, and agency regulations relevant to proposed projects and assist with submissions to various regulatory bodies.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with clients and partner organizations.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control for Landscape Architecture projects as necessary.
  • Guide and mentor team members to enhance their professional growth and productivity.
  • Conduct field inspections of landscape and civil/site construction to verify compliance with specifications and construction documents, as needed.
  • Engage in the initial setup, progress tracking, and detailing of landscape architecture and civil/site plans utilizing AutoCAD and Land F/X.
  • Stay informed about project timelines, deadlines, and budgetary constraints.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Experience: 5-8 years in Landscape Architecture and Civil/Site development.

Licensure / Certifications:
• Registered Landscape Architect preferred.
• Experience in project management, business development, and client relations.
• Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and practices for producing high-quality technical plans, details, and specifications.
• Knowledge of plant materials, design elements, and tools for constructing site-related structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D / LandF/X.
• Skilled in Sketch Up / Photoshop / Illustrator for graphic presentations.
• Familiarity with MS Office.
• GPS/GIS experience is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for effective communication in job-related contexts.
