About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of the kitchen, training and supervising culinary staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the kitchen, including planning and executing menus, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory.
  • Train and supervise culinary staff, including cooks, line cooks, and other kitchen personnel.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation, including taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain control of costs and quality.
  • Assign duties to kitchen staff, review results, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement new menu items and recipes, and ensure their successful execution.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including front-of-house staff, to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume hotel or restaurant.
  • Ability to work AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work all food stations, including sauté, pantry, grill, fryer, and banquets.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and proper preparation techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures, and manuals.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other culinary software.
