Operations Lead

Role Overview:

The Operations Lead plays a crucial role in overseeing a team of secured transportation personnel within their designated area. This position encompasses responsibilities related to both leadership and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the secure handling and transportation of currency while ensuring positive customer interactions.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide training to Driver/Messengers regarding ATM services and facilitate discussions related to ATM operations.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new employees.
  • Conduct field inspections of Driver/Messengers to ensure compliance and performance standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule armored and ATM routes to fulfill customer requirements, adjusting routes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with claims specialists to enhance training and field execution.
  • Assign vehicles to specific routes and maintain communication with the vehicle services department.
  • Consult with the Branch Manager for daily operational guidance.
  • Support branch operations during opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure inventory security through strict adherence to security protocols.
  • Proactively mitigate risk and implement measures to reduce workplace injuries and security losses.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance when interacting with team members and clients.
  • Travel to various locations for temporary assignments as required.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to engage teams to achieve objectives through clear communication.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
  • Capability to train staff and provide constructive feedback on performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain necessary permits or licenses for carrying a firearm.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Driver/Messenger or in a related logistics role.

Physical Requirements:

  • This is a safety-sensitive role subject to drug and alcohol policies and testing.
  • Must possess a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Specific vision and hearing abilities are required to safely operate vehicles and equipment.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, and have normal manual dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a leadership or training capacity is preferred.
  • May require a valid Commercial Driver's License without air-brake restrictions.

Work Environment:

The role is based in a fleet garage and office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
