Role Overview:

The Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of secured transportation personnel, ensuring effective management and compliance within their designated area. This role encompasses various responsibilities, including:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the secure handling and transportation of currency while ensuring positive customer interactions.
  • Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide training to Driver/Messengers regarding ATM operations and facilitate discussions related to ATM services.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new employees.
  • Conduct field evaluations of Driver/Messengers to ensure compliance and performance standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule armored and ATM routes to fulfill customer needs, adjusting routes as necessary.
  • Collaborate with claims specialists to enhance training and operational execution.
  • Assign vehicles to specific routes and maintain communication with the vehicle services department.
  • Consult with the Branch Manager daily for operational guidance.
  • Support branch operations during opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure inventory security by implementing strict controls and compliance with security protocols.
  • Proactively mitigate risk and implement strategies to reduce workplace injuries and security losses.
  • Maintain professionalism and a high standard of appearance when interacting with team members and clients.
  • Travel to other locations for temporary assignments as required.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to engage teams and accomplish tasks through clear communication.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs).
  • Capability to train and provide constructive feedback on performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain necessary permits or licenses for carrying a firearm.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Driver/Messenger role or related logistics field.

Physical Requirements:

  • This is a Safety-Sensitive position subject to drug and alcohol policies and testing.
  • Must possess a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Must meet specific vision and hearing standards to operate vehicles and equipment safely.
  • Capability to sit and stand for extended periods, up to 6-8 hours daily.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or training capacity.
  • May require obtaining a valid Commercial Driver's License without air-brake restrictions.

Work Environment:

The role is conducted in a fleet garage and office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.
