Facilities Maintenance Lead

OVERVIEW

The Facilities Maintenance Lead is accountable for overseeing maintenance tasks across designated buildings, facilities, and equipment, while also managing occasional cleaning responsibilities. This role involves coordinating and executing maintenance operations in various areas including electrical systems, mechanical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Additionally, this position supervises the activities of external contractors.

I. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform repairs on electrical circuits, plumbing systems, and lighting installations.
  • Install and maintain diverse electrical systems, such as motors, pumps, and control devices.
  • Conduct repair and construction tasks related to irrigation, plumbing, and wastewater management.
  • Regularly inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Keep precise records of maintenance activities and equipment status.

II. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in maintenance or three years in a specialized trade.
  • Capability to safely operate various power tools and hand equipment.

III. ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Expertise in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Proficient in the safe operation of tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and their application.

IV. CERTIFICATIONS

  • Mandatory: Forklift Operator Certification (to be obtained post-hire).

V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role necessitates standing, walking, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds regularly. Vision requirements include the ability to see close objects and depth perception.

VI. WORK ENVIRONMENT

The position involves working in a manufacturing environment with fluctuating temperatures and moderate noise levels. There may be occasional exposure to moving mechanical components and chemicals.

Shift: 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $30.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
