Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Registration Coordinator to join our team at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. As a Patient Registration Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient registration process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: Greet patients, visitors, physicians, and employees in a cordial and professional manner, being as helpful as possible.
  • Telephone and Communication: Answer telephone calls promptly, transfer calls to the correct extension, and take messages when necessary. Practice telephone courtesy at all times, being as helpful as possible to the caller.
  • Patient Navigation: Direct patients to ancillary departments to receive ordered services.
  • Registration Accuracy: Maintain a 95% minimum accuracy level in CPSI registration, tracked and reviewed weekly.
  • Order Verification: Read physician orders, verify the order, and treating physician with the patient, ensuring accuracy is captured within the CPSI application.
  • Insurance and Benefits: Collect, scan, and verify insurance information and eligibility. Determine benefits and provide information to the counseling team for discussion with the patient regarding estimated out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Consent and Documentation: Obtain appropriate consents signed by patients and/or appropriate individuals for all services being rendered.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of three years related business and/or customer service experience, preferably in a hospital, medical, or physician office.
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: None required.
