Position Overview: Manager, Field Sales Engineering - Enterprise

Role Summary:

We are in search of a seasoned and results-oriented Sales Engineering Manager to lead our Enterprise division. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in managing and scaling a high-performing sales engineering team. Our team thrives on problem-solving and hands-on engagement, playing a pivotal role in showcasing the value of Samsara's innovative platform to our key clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee team and individual performance, ensuring effective collaboration with sales, product, support, and customer success teams.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Regional Sales Directors on strategic account planning and sales initiatives.
  • Address escalations related to product issues and feature requests within a pre-sales context.
  • Engage in customer and prospect discussions as a trusted advisor.
  • Work alongside other Sales Engineering leaders to enhance the overall effectiveness of the Sales Engineering organization.
  • Promote and exemplify Samsara's core cultural principles as we expand globally.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse and high-performing team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales engineering management.
  • Experience in Software Product sales, particularly in Infrastructure and SaaS.
  • Familiarity with IoT, Networking/Security, SaaS, Cloud Technologies, or Physical Security.
  • Strong technical and business insight.
  • Exceptional communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, from individual contributors to executive leaders.
  • Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation:

The annual on-target earnings (OTE) for this role is competitive and varies based on factors such as experience and location.
