Our client is a well-established firm with over 100 employees, specializing in the production of chemical solutions including inks, epoxies, and coatings. They are part of a leading global entity in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, seeking a candidate with a proven track record in semiconductor sales.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Offer comprehensive global sales assistance, working in tandem with international sales teams, business development, and application engineering divisions to spearhead new growth opportunities across diverse markets.
  2. Identify and formulate new product design specifications based on extensive market research and varied customer insights.
  3. Engage directly with potential clients worldwide, collaborating with multinational sales teams and R&D to ensure product development aligns with global market needs.
  4. Provide extensive technical support for critical customer applications on an international scale, which includes:
    - Conducting on-site assessments and technical discussions at client facilities globally
    - Leading evaluations for key accounts prior to transitioning to commercial negotiations
    - Traveling internationally as required to assist clients and sales teams.
  5. Evaluate global market trends and customer requirements, sharing this intelligence within the organization to guide R&D focus and international sales strategies.
  6. Create and deliver technical materials, including sales presentations, promotional materials, and research papers for international trade shows and conferences.
  7. Develop a thorough understanding of cultural differences and business practices in various global markets to improve communication and relationship-building with international clients.

Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Materials Science is preferred. Any engineering or technical degree will be considered.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in sales or engineering roles.
  • Experience in a technical sales position, such as application engineer or sales engineer.
  • Ability to convey complex engineering challenges in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong active listening skills, ensuring full attention to others' input and understanding their perspectives.
  • Social awareness, recognizing others' reactions and understanding their motivations.
  • Proficient reading comprehension, able to understand written content in work-related documents.
  • Effective written communication skills tailored to the audience's needs.
  • Excellent time management skills, efficiently managing personal and others' time.
  • Negotiation skills, facilitating discussions to reconcile differences.
  • Critical thinking abilities, applying logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches to challenges.

Job Offer

This position is primarily office-based with some flexibility for remote work.

Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $140,000 to $160,000 base plus bonus.

Essential Qualifications: - Background in chemical or materials science - Experience selling to the semiconductor industry.
