Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee individual and team performance, ensuring effective collaboration with sales, product, support, and customer success teams.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Regional Sales Directors on strategic account planning and sales activities.
  • Manage escalations related to product issues and feature requests within a pre-sales context.
  • Engage in customer and prospect discussions as a trusted advisor.
  • Work alongside other Sales Engineering leaders to enhance the overall Sales Engineering function at Samsara.
  • Champion and exemplify Samsara's cultural principles, including a focus on customer success, long-term building, growth mindset, inclusivity, and teamwork.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a diverse, engaged, and high-performing team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales engineering management.
  • Proven experience in Software Product sales, particularly in Infrastructure and SaaS.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: IoT, Networking/Security, SaaS, Cloud Technologies, or Physical Security.
  • Strong technical knowledge coupled with business acumen.
  • Exceptional communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, from sales and product teams to executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation:

The annual on-target earnings (OTE) for this position is competitive and varies based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.
