Role Summary:

We are in search of a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Engineering Manager to lead our Enterprise division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing and scaling a high-performing sales engineering team. Our Sales Engineering professionals are innovative problem solvers who play a pivotal role in illustrating and conveying the value of Samsara's offerings to our most significant clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee individual and team performance, ensuring productive collaboration with sales, product, support, and customer success teams.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Regional Sales Directors on strategic account planning and sales initiatives.
  • Address escalations related to product inquiries and feature requests in a pre-sales context.
  • Engage in customer and prospect discussions as a trusted advisor.
  • Work alongside other Sales Engineering leaders to enhance the overall effectiveness of the Sales Engineering organization.
  • Promote and exemplify Samsara's core cultural principles as we expand globally.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse and high-performing team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales engineering management.
  • Proven experience in Software Product sales, particularly in Infrastructure and SaaS.
  • Expertise in areas such as IoT, Networking/Security, SaaS, Cloud Technologies, or Physical Security.
  • Strong technical knowledge coupled with business acumen.
  • Exceptional communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders across various organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding presentation and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation:

The annual on-target earnings (OTE) for this position are competitive and commensurate with experience.
