Job Description

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing a client base, identifying new revenue opportunities, and working closely with marketing, sales, and pre-construction teams to analyze market conditions and develop a strong strategic approach.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in a construction business development role with a general contractor or subcontractor, a bachelor's degree in business management or a construction-related field, and prior business relationships within the Southeast construction markets.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and grow a client base and identify new revenue opportunities through new and existing contacts
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and pre-construction teams to analyze market conditions and develop a strong strategic approach
  • Track communications from target clients
  • Secure new revenue deals by initiating, coordinating, and closing out initial contracts
  • Communicate regularly with clients to ensure quality and service during the project
  • Communicate and negotiate any necessary terms
  • Visit client offices and job sites as necessary
  • Collaborate with leadership and architects
  • Work with estimating team to communicate budgets and estimates to potential or existing clients
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in a construction business development role with a general contractor or subcontractor
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a construction-related field
  • Prior business relationships within the Southeast construction markets
  • Experience with a client relationship management software a plus
  • Valid driver's license required, as well as ability to travel to local job sites
