Job Title: Water/Wastewater Staff Engineer

BETA Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Water/Wastewater Staff Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Water and Wastewater Team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and client development in water and wastewater engineering, construction management, civil infrastructure design, and permitting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to create innovative planning and design solutions for public-sector clients' water treatment, distribution, and storage infrastructure.
  • Provide leadership and client development specifically in water and wastewater engineering, construction management, civil infrastructure design, and permitting.
  • Supervise and coordinate less experienced staff to deliver work products on time and within budget.
  • Attend and present at client and public meetings to communicate project developments and issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT).
  • 4 to 8 years of related engineering experience in water and wastewater projects.
  • Background or strong academic training in water and wastewater planning, design, system hydraulics, and wetlands permitting.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a professional attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise letters, memoranda, technical reports, proposals, and figures.
  • Ability to collect field data and measurements, including but not limited to roadway, sidewalk, and utility assets, and perform asset inspections.
  • Ability to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to perform field work in both hot and cold weather (rain and/or snow).
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Experience:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and ArcGIS/Pro experience a plus.
