About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Risk Management Engineer to join our team at Factory Mutual Insurance Company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting site assessments, evaluating risks, and providing recommendations to clients to ensure their properties are protected.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough site assessments of physical properties, including roofs, to identify potential risks and hazards.
- Conduct evaluations of site water supplies, dust hazards, chemical storage, and rack storage arrangements for client products.
- Ensure that FM Global Engineering Standards are followed and communicate recommendations and engineering solutions to clients as needed.
- Work from a home office and travel to clients' facilities daily, with occasional overnight travel (approximately 30% of the time).
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (various specialties considered).
- Five plus years of industry experience preferred.
- Power Generation Experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Efficient time management ability with minimal supervision.
- Solid technical capability, including diverse knowledge of engineering principles.
- Ability to stay focused from a home office environment.
- Authorization to work in the country you are applying to work in.
- Physical ability to lift 25 pounds, able to climb ladders, balance, and deal with heights.
- Proficiency in MS Office products.
- A valid driver's license.
