The successful candidate will work collaboratively across various service sectors, support business growth initiatives, and coordinate effectively with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engineering design and prepare contract documents with precision.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Draft and evaluate contract documents and technical reports.
- Collaborate with design teams and offer technical assistance.
- Deliver exceptional client service and contribute to proposal efforts.
Our preferred location is the Norwood office, but candidates should be adaptable to work from other locations as needed. BETA also supports a hybrid work model, allowing employees to work remotely up to two days per week.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in highway design, stormwater management, ADA compliance, and roadway construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and Microstation OpenRoads Designer.
- Familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO, and MassDOT design standards.
- Ability to gather field data and perform asset inspections, including roadways, sidewalks, and utilities.
- Physical capability to lift/move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Willingness to conduct fieldwork in varying weather conditions.
- Capacity to remain standing or seated for extended periods.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
