About the Role

BETA Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team in Norwood, MA. As a key member of our transportation team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing innovative traffic solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Design Lead: Oversee the design and development of traffic projects from conceptual to final design, ensuring compliance with CTDOT/MASSDOT requirements and standards.
  • Project Management: Manage traffic-related projects, including traffic signal design, traffic modeling and simulation, intersection geometrics, and temporary traffic controls.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop project proposals, and collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff, provide technical guidance, and contribute to the growth and development of our team.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Experience: 10 years of related engineering experience in traffic, with a strong background in traffic signal design and traffic analysis.
  • Licenses: Connecticut/Massachusetts Professional Engineer license required.
  • Skills: Proficiency with traffic analysis and modeling, traffic signal design, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
