We are seeking highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representatives to join our team at SMS. As an Outside Sales Rep, you will play a pivotal role in helping small and medium-sized businesses achieve their growth objectives.

Job Overview

SMS is the largest full-service business development firm serving small to mid-sized businesses in the US. Our company provides proven methods, systems, controls, and incentives to enable business owners and their managers to maintain positive cash flow, control costs, and accelerate the growth of their companies.

You will be working as a Business Development Manager selling B2B, focusing on developing relationships with business owners, presidents, and CEOs of small and medium-sized businesses. Your primary responsibility will be to secure Business Analysts a Survey Agreement by conducting innovative hybrid approaches to qualifying potential businesses for new sales leads.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for appointments received from assistants, directing 3-4 sales leads daily to owners of small to medium-sized businesses.
  • Conduct market research and gather information about potential clients through networking opportunities.
  • Contact Business Coordinators with feedback from appointments and share new business lead opportunities.
  • Review the day's successes and challenges with your Sales Manager, gaining support as needed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years of business ownership experience or three years of face-to-face direct sales, outside sales, B2B, and business development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not necessary; we will consider relevant experience over a degree.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined with ability to work effectively with little or no supervision.
  • Outgoing personality with expertise in developing relationships, particularly with business owners, presidents, and CEOs.
  • Good communication skills with excellent listening abilities and the capacity to uncover client pain points.
  • Ability to begin work immediately.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $65,000-$85,000, with realistic first-year commissions reaching up to $100,000. You will also receive comprehensive training and development opportunities, protected territory, and pre-set appointments.
