Job Summary

Canonical, a global software company that publishes Ubuntu and open-source enterprise solutions for cloud, developer, IoT, and AI, is seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across various industries and geographies. Your primary objective will be to collaborate with regional sales and marketing teams to drive results.

About the Role

This role involves handling inbound customer inquiries through email, phone, and chat, executing outbound sales & marketing campaigns, traveling to events and conferences worldwide to present on booths and drive face-to-face marketing and sales opportunities, collaborating across multiple teams and senior stakeholders to drive results, working directly with marketing on campaigns, researching information about prospective customers, generating a multi-million-pound pipeline, identifying prospects and market trends, helping define processes and policies for the team, liaising with new and existing customers, setting up and attending meetings while actively mapping accounts to identify new opportunities, and accurately creating, updating, maintaining, and nurturing leads on global opportunities.

We are seeking an exceptional individual with excellent academic results at school and university, a passion for business and technology, a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, creative problem-solving skills, cross-team collaboration skills, verbal and written communication skills, result-driven attitude with an over-achiever spirit, persistence, and perseverance.
