Job Summary:

The UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Associate to provide exceptional secretarial and clerical support to our department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out standard and complex office procedures, interacting with physicians, staff, and families, and serving as the primary contact between hospital personnel and external parties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to department staff, including data entry, keyboarding, and electronic medical records management.
  • Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and other tasks as needed.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure seamless interactions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office or customer service role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day, stand/walk for 3-6 hours, and perform other physical tasks as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
