Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Trios Health Southridge hospital is responsible for delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care. This role involves leveraging advanced computerized systems to promote safe and effective medication use. Daily collaboration with healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medication orders, and initiate orders in accordance with established protocols.
- Provide expert consultation and education to patients regarding their medications.
- Oversee the activities of pharmacy technicians to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as hospital policies.
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a positive and welcoming attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
Position Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctorate in Pharmacy is required.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of recent experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Licensure: A current Washington State Pharmacist License or eligibility for licensure is mandatory.
- Skills: Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in English and Spanish, are preferred. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.
This position is classified as safety-sensitive and requires a commitment to providing care that respects the diverse backgrounds of all patients.
Compensation and Benefits:
The wage scale for this position starts at $73.44 per hour. Comprehensive benefits include:
