Job Summary
This role involves ensuring safe delivery, setup, and education in the usage of home medical equipment for our customers. As a Medical Equipment Technician, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company, as well as applicable governmental regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Product Knowledge
- • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current HME products and services offered by AdaptHealth.
- • Stay informed about applicable governmental regulations.
- Customer Service
- • Educate customers on proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in a home setting.
- • Complete required documentation following equipment setup, delivery or pickups as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance
- • Maintain home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled visits to customers.
- • Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required.
- Safety and Compliance
- • Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required.
- • Retain knowledge of and consistently adhere to procedures for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control, and hazardous materials handling.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education and Experience
- • High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
- • Entry-level sales, customer service background essential.
- • One year of Military, delivery driver with sales component or healthcare technician experience preferred.
- Licensure and Certification
- • Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence is required.
Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
