Critical Care Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to provide high-quality patient care in our medical center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient safety initiatives and various roles throughout the procedural process.
- Assess patient condition and conduct screenings as required, documenting results using standard scales.
- Document changes in patient condition and effectiveness/timeliness of care/intervention.
- Utilize organization-wide safe medication practices, including barcode scanning and other processes specific to the unit/department.
- Provide teaching and educational material to patients and significant others as needed.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A minimum requirement of a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurses.
- An active RN license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and any other states as applicable.
- Achievement and maintenance of American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Achievement and maintenance of American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of start.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and preferred qualifications include experience in critical care nursing and relevant certifications.
Working EnvironmentThis role requires working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to blood and/or body fluids and infection, occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of radiation, and moderate noise levels.
Physical DemandsThis position involves standing or sitting for extended periods, frequent walking and movement, operating a computer and other equipment, fine motor skills to handle instruments/devices, lifting/moving items up to 10 pounds constantly, 50 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally, and communicating with patients and other care team members requiring talking and hearing.
