Patient Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Safety Technician to join our team at Recovery Solutions. As a key member of our interdisciplinary clinical team, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Patient Safety: Perform a range of patient safety assignments throughout the hospital, working closely with clinical and medical personnel to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Provide Supportive Care: Actively engage with patients to ensure their well-being and provide emotional support during challenging situations.
- Develop Crisis Intervention Plans: Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement crisis intervention plans and patient safety plans, utilizing a trauma-informed approach.
- Monitor and Respond: Monitor patients and provide de-escalation and redirection when necessary, using verbal de-escalation techniques instead of physical force when possible.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior work experience with psychiatric patients in a hospital or secure mental health setting preferred, with a focus on patient safety. Must be willing to participate in extensive, ongoing training regarding serious mental illness, de-escalation and intervention techniques, core strategies, patient safety and trauma-informed care.
