The EHSS Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring EHS compliance, building a strong safety culture, and reducing injuries. This position will ensure that regulatory requirements for Safety, Security, Environment, and Workers' Compensation are met and exceeded. The EHSS Coordinator will continually reduce risk and cost associated with employee behaviors and conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with team members to foster a strong safety team-based environment.
  • Provide accurate and consistent guidance to team members on safety best practices, internal and external policies, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, assessments, and observations to identify and evaluate hazards and behaviors in the workplace, and recommend solutions to minimize or eliminate risk.
  • Collect and analyze data to build metrics and identify trends in safety-related initiatives.
  • Maintain safety communications boards and update safety monitor slides as needed.
  • Manage safety supplies inventory and order supplies as necessary.
  • Track and facilitate employee safety rewards.
  • Conduct and facilitate various safety training sessions.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientation for full-time and temporary employees.
  • Participate in accident investigations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is mandatory.
  • At least one year of experience in manufacturing or light industrial environments is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish and English is essential.
