Role Overview

We are looking for a flexible and adaptable Security Operations Coordinator to assist with security functions at our Corporate Headquarters. Safeguarding our assets, personnel, and information is a critical aspect of our security strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and escort visitors and vendors throughout the facility.
  • Monitor contractor activities on-site and provide situational awareness to the Security team.
  • Enforce security protocols and access policies with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Follow detailed instructions and execute tasks as directed.
  • Maintain heightened situational awareness at all times.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills while engaging with visitors and staff.
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic and may be entrusted with additional responsibilities related to physical security.
Qualifications
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and fill shifts as required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

This role involves operating a company vehicle, necessitating a valid driver's license and adherence to Viasat's Vehicle Driver Policy. A comprehensive Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) assessment will be part of the pre-employment screening process.

Additional Skills
  • Ability to take direction and perform tasks accurately as instructed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting security incidents.
  • Capacity to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Availability to support the Security Operations team across various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $25.38. At Viasat, we consider various factors when determining compensation, including the specific responsibilities of the role and the candidate's experience and qualifications. Additional incentives may be available as part of the overall compensation package, along with a comprehensive range of benefits focused on employee health and wellness.
