Position Overview
The Venue Operations Supervisor will manage operational activities and perform administrative functions at various venues and events throughout the area. The Supervisor will be accountable for daily operations; promoting events, collaborating with the General Manager to ensure all event requirements are satisfied, and coordinating with the production team to advance the events at their designated venue while ensuring compliance with artist contracts within the allocated budget.
This role will work closely with team members to deliver exceptional customer service, fostering a welcoming and secure atmosphere at all events, and collaborating with the operations team to develop policies and procedures, assist in planning, and provide cost estimates. Additionally, the Venue Operations Supervisor will handle routine administrative tasks, oversee inventory of equipment and supplies, and contribute to venue enhancement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee project management for events, maintaining regular communication with clients or tour managers to ensure all requirements are met, addressed, and resolved; review artist contracts related to production, merchandise, ticketing, and rider specifications.


  • Collaborate with the operations team to develop policies and procedures, assist in operational planning and cost estimation, and supervise staff for assigned venues and projects.


  • Ensure a high standard of customer service, managing day-of-event operations at the venue. Supervise the backstage area to ensure artist hospitality needs are fulfilled, including preparing greenrooms and serving as a resource for artists and their teams.


  • Handle daily administrative tasks, including staff scheduling, timekeeping, recruitment, supervision, and performance monitoring. Work with team members to foster a friendly and safe environment at all events through effective training.


  • Ensure all events are equipped with necessary supplies and equipment for optimal functionality. Collaborate with the operations team to procure these items at competitive prices. Negotiate vendor contracts and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.


  • Engage in venue enhancement and capital projects by providing recommendations for improvements, collaborating with the management team to obtain bids, develop ROI (Return on Investment) analyses, and oversee projects to completion. Ensure the venue is prepared for events and report any maintenance or supply needs to the General Manager.


  • Responsible for event settlement, preparing invoices, and addressing payroll discrepancies.

Education Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Business Management or a related field.

Experience Requirements

  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience managing private and concert events.
  • Experience in venue and event operations, including artist communication and settlements.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous management experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Preferred experience in the music industry and live music events.
