Job Overview:

The role focuses on overseeing telecommunication service requests for various agencies utilizing the Kansas Information Resource Management System (KIRMs) / ServiceNow platform. Key duties include accurate order processing, vendor and technician coordination, user training facilitation, and system feature troubleshooting to ensure efficient operations. Additionally, the position entails evaluating new features from telecommunications providers and training network control center personnel on system updates.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generate, assess, and manage telecommunication service requests
  • Collaborate with vendors and technical teams
  • Deliver user training sessions
  • Resolve system feature issues
  • Evaluate new functionalities from telecom providers
  • Provide training for network control center personnel
  • Manage provisioning, relocation, addition, and modification of work orders within the data network
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data services including AVPN, switches, hubs, and ATM

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM)
  • Experience in data networking and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of LANs, Video, and Dial Tone systems
  • Familiarity with ACD, UCD, IVR, and VoIP technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline
  • Intermediate level of experience in the field
