Position Summary

This is a full-time Office Coordinator position with the Kansas State High School Activities Association, offering some flexibility for remote work. The role involves providing administrative support for various sports and activities endorsed by the organization, overseeing the official's program, and facilitating general office operations.

We seek a detail-oriented and adaptable individual who thrives in a dynamic work environment, enjoys tackling new challenges, and is passionate about contributing to a team dedicated to school sports and activities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders associated with the organization.
  • Handle substantial data management tasks utilizing custom software systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Compose and disseminate both electronic and printed communications to member schools and officials.
  • Oversee the educational and training requirements for officials and coaches/sponsors.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics and preparations for both on-site and off-site events.
  • Assist in planning and organizing various events.
  • Proofread and edit printed materials and electronic communications for clarity and style.
  • Maintain the Gallery of Champions.
  • Organize and prepare large mailings.
  • Manage inventory effectively.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director or Director of Operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A dedication to providing outstanding customer service to member schools and registered officials.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with Publisher and Access is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with team members.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities efficiently.
  • Comfortable handling large datasets in various electronic formats.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new office technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading abilities.
  • Interest in interscholastic activities and a desire to deepen knowledge in this area.
  • Exemplary ethics, integrity, and resilience.
  • Availability to work on-site during standard business hours.
