Role Purpose

The Regional Sales Account Manager - China will be responsible for promoting and creating business for TRI-K's specialty personal care portfolio in China, particularly in the greater Shanghai area. This includes managing one or more distribution partners, accounts, and direct management of regional sites for global customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain and expand sales in conjunction with corporate goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and implement short and long-term sales plans for each account.
  • Forecast demand for products and prepare budgets.
  • Prepare project reports and sales activity reports as requested.
  • Utilize and input sales calls and related information into Salesforce in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on sample requests.
  • Meet regularly with customers to understand their objectives and requirements.
  • Develop account relationships, recommend new products and technologies, and obtain feedback on products.
  • Ensure sales, R&D, marketing, and customer service provide post-implementation support to customers.
  • Manage and expedite the resolution of customer problems/complaints.
  • Prepare and conduct technical/product presentations and demonstrations.
  • Participate in trade shows, weekly sales conference calls, and quarterly sales meetings.
  • Plan travel and itineraries to maximize client contact and efficiency.
  • Prepare expense reports, itineraries, and call reports according to schedule.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, new technology, pricing, and customer projects.

Requirements

  • Travel: This position requires a minimum of 50% domestic travel, with overnight stays of one or more days.

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field from a four-year college or university.
    • Minimum of 5 years of B2B chemical sales experience with a focus in personal care. Experience managing distribution partners is preferred.
    • Established connections within the personal care industry are highly desired.
    • Ability to interact with highly knowledgeable technical contacts within customer accounts is necessary.
    • Candidates must be based out of the Greater Shanghai Metropolitan Area.
