Job Summary

Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain complex pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for various industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and thread pipe to specifications, using specialized tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders.
  • Attach pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, and tools.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by brazing, cementing, soldering, pressing, and threading joints.
  • Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
  • Measure and mark pipes for proper installation.
  • Lay out of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following plans, details, and specifications.
  • Select pipe sizes and types and related materials, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications and details.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to use an Oxygen and Acetylene Torch to cut steel pipe.
  • Must always prioritize safety.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks safely and with quality.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside.
  • Must be able to work at various heights above floor with ladder, scaffold, and manlift when required.
  • Must be able to work in excavated trenches.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to job sites.
  • Must own all necessary hand tools.
  • Must have knowledge of piping systems.
  • Must understand construction terminology.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must bring a commitment to excellence to work every day.
  • Must always maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications
  • For consideration, candidates must have 5 years of plumbing and/or mechanical construction field experience, along with an aptitude for math and a keen attention to detail.
  • A Journeyman's license in the respected trade is a plus.
