Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose automation challenges, collaborating with plant personnel and suppliers to promptly restore equipment operations within budgetary limits.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance team, providing insights into hydraulic and electrical repairs on non-automation machinery as required.
  • Deliver timely resolutions for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues, ensuring a seamless production process.
  • Manage procurement processes for vital parts, machinery, and components, ensuring uninterrupted production flow.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying automation requirements, investigating alternative solutions, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols and 5S practices, proactively identifying and mitigating safety risks while monitoring work quality.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, upholding the highest operational standards.
  • Collaborate with plant management on technical matters related to machinery upkeep and automation performance.
  • Partner with the Maintenance Manager on ongoing maintenance activities, utilizing our database to maintain comprehensive machine records.
  • Validate secondary operations equipment and drive the implementation of initiatives aimed at quality and productivity enhancements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years in plastics injection molding engineering, or an Associate's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience in assembly automation, injection molding engineering, and secondary automation, with a solid understanding of PLC programming and electrical controls.
  • Experience in mechanical design aspects of automation, including general machining capabilities.
  • Commitment to exceeding both customer and organizational expectations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a meticulous approach to meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in installation and operational validations, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
