Position Overview:
The Field Survey Specialist is tasked with executing all site layout and as-built documentation for designated projects.

Work conditions may involve traversing extensive distances while carrying equipment weighing up to 40 pounds and operating in various weather conditions for extended periods.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize a variety of surveying instruments, including GPS and SCS900 software, Total Station, and Level.
  • Conduct site preparation activities, such as site calibration, level runs, and control checks.
  • Perform layout calculations using data collectors, including Station/Offset, Distances, and Grading.
  • Maintain comprehensive field notes.
  • Work autonomously while executing field layout tasks.
  • Facilitate the transfer of files between field operations and office settings.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to determine initial project layout specifications, methods for establishing survey control, and field reporting.
  • Employ Trimble survey technology and software, including GPS, Robotic Total Stations, and manage Machine Control systems.
  • Utilize software tools such as SCS900, Trimble Access, and Trimble Business Center.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a construction-related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction-related roles is necessary.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Proficiency in survey-grade GPS and SCS900 software, along with familiarity with other surveying instruments.
  • Basic skills in CAD software, such as Business Center, Carlson, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Open Roads.
