Education and Professional Development Programs Specialist
Job Summary:The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Education and Professional Development Programs Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for organizing and executing programs to advance education and training of the molecular life science workforce.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams and volunteer leadership to implement programs that promote and recognize excellence in biochemistry and molecular biology education and training.
- Develop and execute program strategies to advance education and training goals.
- Manage program logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, and vendor management.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including members, volunteers, and external partners.
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Education, Professional Development, and Outreach.
- Bachelor's degree in a related STEM field; advanced degree a plus.
- 3-5 years' experience in program execution at a non-profit scientific or higher education organization and/or working with volunteers.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, web development, and social media platforms.
