Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Curriculum Development and Instructional Leadership Specialist to join our team at Sheppard Pratt School. As a key member of our educational leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the implementation of high-quality curriculum and instructional practices that meet the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum that aligns with state and national standards, as well as the needs of our students.
- Instructional Leadership: Provide guidance and support to teachers in the implementation of evidence-based instructional practices, including the use of data-driven decision making and differentiated instruction.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Support teachers in the selection and administration of formal and informal assessments, as well as the interpretation and use of assessment data to inform instruction.
- Professional Development: Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers to support their professional growth and development, including opportunities for ongoing training and education.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree: A master's degree in special education or a related field is required.
- Professional License: Must possess or demonstrate eligibility to apply within 30 days of start date, MSDE Professional License (PL) in secondary education or special education.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.
