Healthcare Customer Service Specialist - Call Center

As a Healthcare Customer Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in improving patient interactions by delivering exceptional onsite and near-site primary care services. Demonstrate your commitment to patient care within a nationally recognized organization focused on healthcare transformation.
We are seeking a committed Medical Call Center Associate to become part of our healthcare support team. This position entails managing incoming calls, coordinating appointments, and informing patients about our services. Candidates with experience in a structured call center environment and a background in healthcare are encouraged to apply.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. No weekends or holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally handle incoming patient inquiries and resolve issues
- Foster positive relationships with patients and clinic staff while adhering to standard operating procedures
- Promptly identify and escalate priority concerns
- Conduct follow-up calls and maintain accurate documentation
- Address customer questions regarding clinic benefits and eligibility
- Direct mainline telephone calls appropriately
- Complete additional assigned tasks and projects
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED; associate's degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a structured call center environment
- Healthcare background strongly preferred
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing speed of 45-50 WPM
