Oracle GDI – Government, Defense & Intelligence is on the lookout for a Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to support NRO, acting as the primary expert in providing presales technical and functional support to potential clients while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

This is a hybrid role based in the Reston, VA/DC area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage your extensive experience and enthusiasm for cloud principles, system integration, and cloud migrations to support customer-facing initiatives and internal Oracle sales activities.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction in the development of new solutions, products, and processes.
  • Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, design architectures, and translate complex business needs into effective solutions; may involve implementation and ensuring successful deployments.
  • Serve as a recognized authority for clients and sales teams on technical cloud solutions and customer success.
  • Identify gaps and propose enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for features driven by customer needs.
  • Maintain expertise by staying abreast of emerging technologies.
  • Manage projects and resolve technical issues with clients in diverse technical environments.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Conduct needs analysis, positioning, and business justification.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in effectively communicating technical information through presentations, demonstrations, and consultative solutioning.
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with public cloud providers such as Oracle, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including architecture, tools, and methodologies.
  • Cloud Solutions Architect certification is highly preferred (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud).
  • Experience in data or database migrations.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies (Software-defined Networking, Routing, DNS, Load balancing).
  • Cloud computing developer certification is highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel as necessary, approximately 25% of the time.
  • BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • Cloud certifications are highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in computer applications or database/tools.
  • Experience with Oracle products is highly desirable.
  • Job responsibilities are varied and complex, requiring independent judgment.
  • May assume a project lead role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
