Job Overview
Koniag Government Services is on the lookout for a skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. This role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance and offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment supporting our federal clients.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for:
  • Engaging in technical project review sessions to ensure designs align with operational needs and security protocols.
  • Provisioning and managing cloud resources within an enterprise environment, including networking, storage, and computing resources.
  • Automating the migration of infrastructure to cloud platforms and identifying on-premises technologies that correspond with cloud solutions.
  • Adhering to incident, problem, and change management processes while efficiently executing ticket-based requests.
  • Focusing on outcomes and maintaining a strong commitment to quality and deadlines.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A valid Top Secret DoD Clearance and a Driver's License.
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in cloud solution administration, design, and engineering.
  • A solid understanding of cloud technologies and enterprise IT systems.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, demonstrating mature judgment.
  • Experience with deploying and managing workloads in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • The ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Familiarity with operating systems and software upgrade planning and implementation.
  • A foundational understanding of DevOps practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and coding methodologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JSON, YAML, or similar.
  • Experience in deploying infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates, Chef, or Terraform.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following certifications are advantageous:
  • AWS Associate or Professional Level certifications.
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps Engineer certifications.

Work Environment:
This position is based in a professional office setting with a low to moderate noise level. Standard office equipment will be utilized, and the role may require prolonged periods of sitting. Candidates should be able to perform basic physical tasks and possess specific vision capabilities.
