Role Summary:

In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing Block's compliance objectives by partnering closely with compliance, legal, and operational teams to cultivate a robust risk management culture. Reporting to the Global Compliance Testing and Monitoring Lead, you will be responsible for evaluating the operational and control environment as well as the compliance program. Your work will encompass a variety of compliance areas, including BSA/AML/OFAC, CAN-SPAM, ECOA, EFTA, E-SIGN, FCRA, GLBA, TILA, and UDAAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, document, and execute compliance testing and monitoring assessments across all departments.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the operational and control environment, including policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Conduct process walkthroughs with business units and meticulously document all fieldwork and reviewed materials.
  • Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders and collaborate on management action plans.
  • Draft comprehensive reports to formalize your findings.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance testing, fraud oversight, or internal audit.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience in FinTech or payment services is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and establish trust with business leaders.
  • Experience managing diverse projects across various business functions.
  • Proficiency in Google Applications (e.g., Sheets, Docs, Slides).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry certifications such as CAMS, CRCM, or CIA.
  • Experience in the cryptocurrency sector.
