Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and driven Control Systems Engineer with a strong background in PLC programming, manufacturing methodologies, and electrical hardware systems to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and upkeep of electrical control systems and components, ensuring optimal performance in our manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:
Craft and innovate electrical control systems tailored for manufacturing machinery and processes.

Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans.

PLC Programming and Troubleshooting:
Program, diagnose, and maintain PLCs along with associated automation tools.

Formulate and execute control strategies aimed at enhancing manufacturing workflows.

Hardware and Equipment Management:
Select and specify electrical components and hardware for both new and existing systems.

Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.

Manufacturing Support:
Deliver technical assistance to the manufacturing team to troubleshoot electrical and control challenges.

Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to boost equipment reliability and efficiency.

Project Management:
Lead and oversee electrical engineering projects from initial concept through to completion.

Ensure projects are finalized on schedule, within budget constraints, and meet quality benchmarks.

Documentation and Compliance:
Create and maintain thorough documentation for electrical systems, including schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

Guarantee that all electrical systems and processes adhere to relevant safety standards and regulations.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify avenues for process enhancements and implement innovative solutions.

Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing context.

Technical Skills:
Expertise in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.).

Strong grasp of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and hardware systems.

Experience with industrial automation and control systems.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.

Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous.

Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions:
This role may involve working in various settings, including production floors and control rooms.

Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment as necessary.

Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as required.
