Position Overview:
This position requires a thorough understanding of automation systems for the manufacturing of food processing equipment. Our client, a leader in the food industry with over five decades of experience, provides innovative processing solutions that encompass consultation, system design, manufacturing, and integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain control hardware and software tailored to the product offerings.
  • Utilize various PLC development software packages, including Allen Bradley and Wago, to effectively manage machinery and processes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automation schemes for diverse machinery and processes, adhering to IEC-defined languages.
  • Create and manage Human-Machine Interface (HMI) designs for both current and future systems.
  • Establish and maintain industrial networks for control systems.
  • Ensure the implementation of the safest and most efficient systems for operational needs.
  • Generate flow diagrams for programming, simulation, testing, and start-up processes.
  • Assist in the development of schematics, wiring, and panel layout designs.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges and propose modifications to meet evolving user requirements.
  • Draft technical documentation, including operational procedures and user guides.
  • Provide training for technicians and service personnel on new and existing control systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and electrical engineers to enhance process efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Three years of programming experience with PLCs is preferred.
