Position Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be instrumental in coordinating and executing advanced product and quality planning. Your role will involve ensuring successful customer product launches through the effective application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP). You will have the authority to take immediate action to resolve quality issues that significantly affect our business, customers, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the receipt of tools and complete the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Ensure adherence to IATF Standards
  • Facilitate interfaces between APQP, manufacturing, support resources, and processes
  • Oversee conformity to product specifications and have the authority to halt shipments and production to rectify quality concerns
  • Define manufacturing and quality processes (including PPAP, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, etc.) to meet customer production requirements
  • Establish and maintain robust business relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Manage customer portals and coordinate immediate corrective actions
  • Generate quality alerts and initiate supplier complaints
  • Lead the 8-D problem-solving process (customer, supplier, internal)
  • Ensure incoming goods inspection and management of testing equipment
  • Develop work instructions and train production personnel on quality standards and requirements
  • Create International Material Data System (IMDS) entries
  • Conduct machine and process capability studies
  • Modify packaging data sheets to address quality considerations

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Skills and Expertise:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Control Plans, Testing Systems, Incoming Goods Inspection, and Quality Management Information Systems
  • Familiarity with database systems and basic SAP
  • Knowledge of IQS Basics or Advanced, IMDS, and manufacturing processes
  • Adept at working with both metric and imperial measurement systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead discussions in challenging situations
  • Collaborative team player capable of working effectively across all production areas
