Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize various PLC development software, including but not limited to Allen Bradley and Wago, to effectively manage machinery and processes.
  • Design, implement, and sustain automation control strategies for a diverse range of current and future machinery.
  • Create and maintain Human-Machine Interface (HMI) designs for existing and upcoming systems.
  • Establish and manage industrial networks for control purposes.
  • Ensure optimal safety and productivity standards are met within the operational systems.
  • Develop flow diagrams for programming, simulation, testing, and system start-up.
  • Assist in the creation of schematics, wiring, and panel layout designs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, adapting existing applications to meet evolving user and business requirements.
  • Draft technical documentation for applications, including operational manuals and user guides.
  • Provide training to technicians, service staff, and clients on both new and existing control systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and electrical engineers to enhance processes and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in PLC and HMI development.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and standards.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical motion control systems.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in software architecture.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for direct communication with clients.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Three years of programming experience with PLCs is preferred but not mandatory.
