Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Manager to join our team in the Finance industry for a REMOTE opportunity. This role will involve managing and delivering tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients while leading and developing our internal team. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of tax law and have a robust background in corporate, international, and indirect taxation. A proven track record in tax advisory, tax accounting, and tax research, along with experience in financial planning, preparing financial statements, and financial accounting, is essential. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role and familiarity with ASC 740.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and preparation for the company's domestic and international operations.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
  • Conduct complex tax research and prepare tax returns ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
  • Analyze and review financial data to identify tax savings opportunities and provide strategic advice.
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors and tax advisors for the timely resolution of tax matters.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely financial planning and reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals while managing their performance and development.
  • Stay updated with changes in tax law and regulations that may affect the company's tax compliance.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries by governmental jurisdictions.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Tax Associate or in a similar capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax law and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Expertise in corporate tax, international tax, and indirect taxation.
  • Strong experience in tax advisory, tax accounting, and tax research.
  • Proficiency in financial planning, preparing financial statements, and financial accounting.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
