Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee purchasing card reconciliation for the department, ensuring compliance with all policies and timely submission of statements.
  • Process payment requests for personal purchases and sales tax as necessary.
  • Manage travel arrangements for the department, including applications, cash advances, and reimbursement requests.
  • Provide guidance on travel policies and ensure adherence to operational procedures.
  • Handle incoming calls for the Main and Business Office, along with various clerical tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain an organized electronic filing system for all financial transactions to promote accuracy and transparency.
  • Advise faculty, staff, and students on procurement policies as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendor services for new vendor setup requests.
  • Assist with financial-related electronic personnel action forms, such as end jobs and fund change requests.
  • Serve as a backup for monthly internal billing and other purchasing transactions.

Qualifications:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent with two years of progressively responsible experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred: Proficiency in clerical tasks, critical thinking, time management, and effective communication. Experience with Microsoft Office and familiarity with institutional software and accounting processes is advantageous.
