Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team in the Finance sector. This is a REMOTE opportunity that involves managing tax services for a varied portfolio of clients while leading and developing our internal team. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of tax legislation and a robust background in corporate, international, and indirect taxation. A proven history in tax advisory, tax accounting, and tax research is essential, along with experience in financial planning and preparing financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and preparation for domestic and international operations.
  • Develop and execute strategic tax planning for federal and state tax obligations.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with all reporting and payment requirements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify tax savings opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors and tax advisors for timely resolution of tax matters.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, managing their performance and development.
  • Stay informed on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact compliance.
  • Manage tax audits and inquiries from governmental authorities.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
  • CPA certification required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accounting role.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Tax Associate or in a similar capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Expertise in corporate tax, international tax, and indirect taxation.
  • Strong background in tax advisory, tax accounting, and tax research.
  • Proficient in financial planning, financial statement preparation, and financial accounting.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
