Job Summary

The University of Arkansas System is seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Program Coordinator to provide administrative support for the Department of Industrial Engineering. This role will be responsible for developing procedures to support degree audits, student advising, and management of student records. The successful candidate will also communicate curriculum changes, program updates, class schedules, class assignments, and class reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procedures to support degree audits, student advising, and management of student records
  • Communicate curriculum changes, program updates, class schedules, class assignments, and class reports
  • Provide administrative support for the department, including purchasing office supplies, textbooks, and regalia
  • Assist faculty and staff with special projects, reconciling procurement and travel cards, and maintaining physical spaces
  • Coordinate departmental events for a broad range of stakeholders, including industry, alumni, faculty/staff, and students

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sociology, public administration, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years of experience in program administration or a related area
  • Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two years working in an administrative role in higher education
  • Previous University of Arkansas experience using system software
  • Experience as a project manager
  • At least two years event or conference coordination experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of program degree requirements and equivalencies
  • Knowledge of campus and community resources
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to campus academic and social programs
  • Ability to handle records, materials, and issues in a discrete and confidential manner
  • Ability to provide a consistently high level of courteous, professional, and cheerful customer service to internal and external constituents
  • Ability to evaluate collected information and formulate recommendations
  • Ability to compile information into report form
  • Ability to execute projects in a timely manner within budget and following policies for compliance
