Investment Division Overview:

The Investment Division is tasked with managing the investment portfolios for the entities associated with the Dalio family.

Position Overview:

The DFO is in search of a proactive, intellectually curious, and driven individual with a minimum of one year of experience in the financial sector to join the cohesive Private Markets team. This team is responsible for assessing and managing illiquid investments, including private equity, venture capital, real estate, and credit. The focus of this role will be on the selection of investment managers across various private investment categories. The successful candidate may also engage in broader investment projects or explore other asset classes. This is a three-year term position with potential for extension based on evolving opportunities. The role provides a unique chance to gain expertise in Private Markets investments within a sophisticated family office environment. The expectation is for this position to be based in New York City, with occasional travel to other offices as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investment Evaluation: Assist in the assessment, selection, and monitoring of Private Markets investment managers, including supporting the due diligence process and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Research and Analysis: Develop and maintain reports to identify prospective investments and opportunities, including market analysis and comparative assessments across private investment categories.
  • Due Diligence Support: Facilitate the manager due diligence process by gathering necessary information, conducting analyses, and summarizing findings from meetings and calls.
  • Investment Recommendations: Aid in creating materials that support the investment recommendation process, including memos and presentations.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Construct and maintain models to project investment exposures and outcomes, analyzing portfolio performance as needed.
  • Reporting: Assist in preparing reports for key stakeholders within the DFO.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to enhancing data analysis and management processes.
  • Special Projects: Support the execution of special project requests as required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in investment management, finance, or a related field.
  • A bachelor's degree with strong academic performance, preferably with coursework in economics or finance.
