Compensation and Benefits Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources, oversee a comprehensive range of benefits administration and HR functions.
- Evaluate, analyze, and propose strategic enhancements to benefits and compensation offerings.
- Administer and manage the organization's benefits and compensation structures for both current employees and retirees, ensuring a complete cycle from design to compliance.
- Specialize in various benefits programs, including health, dental, life, vision, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, and retiree healthcare coordination.
- Lead and facilitate the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment initiatives.
- Manage relationships with vendors and consultants, collaborating with insurance brokers and legal advisors to meet departmental objectives and deliver optimal service.
- Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, market standards, and regulatory changes through mandatory compliance testing.
- Address and resolve complex issues related to total compensation, claims eligibility, and compliance, serving as a resource for employees and retirees.
- Support the development and management of compensation processes, including market analysis and benchmarking.
- Act as a subject matter expert on benefits and compensation, providing technical guidance and support for effective practices.
- Stay informed on current benefits legislation and changes to maintain accurate and compliant compensation and benefit plans.
- Organize and manage multiple projects effectively, fostering collaboration with internal staff and external partners.
- Maintain accurate records of employee, retiree, and dependent eligibility.
- Perform additional related duties as necessary.
- Conduct all responsibilities in a professional manner to uphold the organization's positive image.
- Adhere to a schedule that aligns with operational hours.
- Consistent and reliable onsite attendance is a critical aspect of this role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources with 7 to 9 years of experience in total rewards management, demonstrating knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations.
- Proficiency in job-related software, including Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, CEBS certification, and/or SHRM certification.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
